Rebalancing my efforts because of sleep deprivation. A longer reflective episode.

It’s tricky to get enough sleep in the circumstances you describe. But is being an early riser a goal in itself or a means to some other end? Perhaps there’s a different way of achieving that other goal? (I have the opposite problem: I am an early riser who would prefer to be a later riser. 😆)

@Miraz One of my challenges is that I need uninterrupted time in the day. Be it for meditation or reflective writing. And I still think that the morning is where this time is located. The people and pets in my life have needs but mostly only when they are awake. 😉 Since working time is for working and I have a full-time job, the evenings are very often a time for chores, cooking and are for hanging out. I think my day is just simply very full. Discovering the mornings as personal time was a revelation. Like discovering a new room in my house. I think this was my paradigm shift already. Now it’s more about satisficing.

That is a lot to fit in. Unfortunately we also need to sleep whatever amount of sleep our bodies decide they need.
